Okay so this definitely got better as it went on, but wow that opening credit sequence is so corny. I get that this is a 2008 film, but it felt like a 90s film with the hokey edited supercut. I think this movie's a little different than much of the other MCU though, cause it was one of the first and they hadn't established a broader tone or style yet, and they were intentionally going for an homage to the original 70s TV show, so they've got comic book framing and some really lame zoom-ins and other stylistic choices that don't age well. Mostly these complaints are in reference to the first third or so. But honestly it got a lot better as the movie went on, and the action sequences are really good. One of the cool things about 20 years ago is they didn't have as much they could do with CG. Obviously the Hulk is CG, but a lot of the action and the sets were real effects, real explosions and demolitions, and it's just better... [continued on letterboxd]

I’ve been living in a third world country which is kinda ironic since I’m trying not to get angry I’ve been working in a bottle factory then I got discovered and tracked down by the military then back in New York I found my girlfriend I destroyed a helicopter and then this guy got jealous of me déjà vu and then he became a muscley freak tooooo kinda wish I had killed him
